My First Original Screenplay!!

29 09 2011

I haven’t written about my work for a while. So… what have I been doing for the past year and a half? Well… I’ve been writing a screenplay, and I became so involved with it that it took up almost all of my time.

This is my first original feature film screenplay, and I have had a great time writing it. It’s been very hard work, but I am happy to say that I am right now finishing the final draft.

It’s a Fantasy Adventure for children, and I am very proud of it!

With the cinematographic debut of my own sister, Dolores Reynals, embodying the Saint’s sister as Carmen Escrivá.

The production was led by Ignacio Núñez and Ignacio Gómez Sancha, whom I had the pleasure of meeting last year in Madrid. It was filmed mostly on location in Argentina, especially Buenos Aires, Luján and the Sierra de la Ventana.

First Mission Avant Premiere took place yesterday evening at Pathe Theater Tuschinski in Amsterdam.

There were many celebrities attending the event, but the focus was on the director, Boris Paval Conen, and the stars of the film, Anniek Pheifer, Tygo Gernandt and Mark Rietman.

Also Stevie Ann gave a live performance of the film theme “What goes on”

We shot the feature film last year in the triple border between Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil. As it is spoken in four languages, Dutch, English, Spanish and Guarani, my job was to translate and coach actors in their dialogues.

It tells a real life drama, based on the screenplay by Barbara Jurgens, about a team of doctors on their remote outpost of International Frontline Doctors in South America willing to risk their lives to save others.
