Universidad de Mendoza and Mendoza’s Government will screen “Eugenia’s party” during seminar / La Universidad de Mendoza y el Gobierno de Mendoza mostraran “La Fiesta de Eugenia” durante un seminario

Tomorrow “Eugenia’s Party” written/directed by Gonzalo Villanueva (I was Assistant Director) will be shown at the premises of the Universidad de Mendoza as part of a set of short films related to the agro-industry at a 3-day seminar. The governor of the Province of Mendoza will open the seminar and it is expected many senior professionals and politicians to attend. “Eugenia” will start at 5:00p.m.

“La Fiesta de Eugenia”, escrita/dirigida por Gonzalo Villanueva (yo fui Asistente de Direccion) sera parte de una serie de cortos a mostrarse en el seminario de 3 dias de duracion sobre agro-industria en la sede de la Universidad de Mendoza. El gobernador de la Provincia de Mendoza abrira el seminario y se espera que varios profesionales y politicos de alto nivel atenderan al evento. “Eugenia” comenzara a las 5:00p.m.

“La Luce nel Coure” by Alberto Simone (2008)

Two days ago I started working in the film “La Luce nel Cuore” (aka In nome del figlio) by the Italian Director Alberto Simone. This movie is produced by Dauphine Film Company (Italy), Rai Fiction (Italy) and Delta Producciones (Argentina). It is a true story about a 10 year-old boy that in November 1992 falls into coma due to a brain stroke. We are filming in Buenos Aires for five weeks. The actors playing the leading roles are Renato Quattordio Dolhacaray (Argentinean young actor) as Gianluca Sciortino (the boy in coma); David Coco as the boy’s father and Lorenza Indovina as the mother. One more time I am working in the direction team with my friends and colleagues Cristian Pellegrini and Carina “Tur K” Sama.

Hace dos días comencé mi trabajo en la película “La Luce nel Cuore” (aka In nome del figlio) del director italiano Alberto Simone. Este largometraje está producido por Dauphine Film Company (Italia), Rai Fiction (Italia) y Delta Producciones (Argentina). Es la historia real de un niño de 10 años que en Noviembre de 1992 cae en coma debido a una hemorragia cerebral. Estaremos rodando la película en Buenos Aires por cinco semanas. Los actores que interpretan a los personajes principales son Renato Quattordio Dolhacaray (Argentino) como Gianluca Sciortino (el niño en coma); David Coco como el padre del niño y Lorenza Indovina como la madre. Una vez más formo parte del equipo de dirección junto con mis amigos y colegas Cristian Pellegrini and Carina “Tur K” Sama.

It’s a wrap! HSM “El Desafio” Mexico

After eight weeks shooting in Buenos Aires, Argentina we have finished rolling High School Musical “El Desafio” (watch video from Disney Planet). All the cast and crew are tired but happy of living such a great experience and making so many good friends. I must say that we built a great team with Cristian Pellegrini, Marcelo Pozzo, Yanina McKerlie, Boris Pineiro, Santiago Morone, Gonzalo Matijas, Romina Sarlinga, Milagros Hormazabal and all the rest of the direction team!
We have lived great moments at HSM… such as when Jesse & Joy participated in the film (and other moments not so good but fun… like fighting the mosquitoes). What do you think guys?

Después de ocho semanas de rodar en Buenos Aires, Argentina hemos terminado de filmar High School Musical “El Desafío” (watch video from Disney Planet). Todo el elenco y equipo técnico están cansados pero contentos de dejar una experiencia tan buena y hacer muchos amigos. Debo decir que formamos un gran equipo con Cristian Pellegrini, Marcelo Pozzo, Yanina McKerlie, Boris Piñeiro, Santiago Morone, Gonzalo Matijas, Romina Sarlinga, Milagros Hormazabal y el resto del equipo de dirección!
Pasamos muy buenos momentos en HSM… como cuando Jesse & Joy participaron en la película (y otros momentos no tan agradables pero divertidos… como luchar contra los mosquitos). Ustedes que piensan chicos?

Cameras Rolling for High School Musical Mexico – HSM “El Desafio” in Argentina

Today I started working in the shooting of High School Musical Mexico “El Desafio” as part of the direction team. This feature film is Directed by Eduardo Ripari, assisted by Natalia Urruty and Juan Pablo Miller is in charge of the Production Management. Cristobal Orellana and Mariana Magana are performing the leading roles, both winners from the reality contest “High School Musical La Seleccion” in Mexico. The film is produced by Walt Disney Pictures, TV Azteca and Patagonik film group. There are a lot of new faces and excitement in the team… happily, my friend Crisitian Pellegrini is working as 2nd Assistant Director! At the same time, the version of High School Musical for Argentina is being shot back to back with this production. This version is Directed by Jorge Nisco with the leading roles performed by Agustina Vera and Fernando Dente.

Hoy empecé a trabajar en el rodaje de High School Musical Mexico “El Desafio” como parte del equipo de dirección. Este largometraje está dirigido por Eduardo Ripari, asistido por Natalia Urruty, y Juan Pablo Miller como Jefe de Producción. Cristobal Orellana y Mariana Magana interpretan a los personajes principales, ambos ganadores del reality show “High School Musical La Seleccion” en Mexico. La película está producida por Walt Disney Pictures, TV Azteca y Patagonik film group. Hay muchas caras nuevas y entusiasmo en el equipo… aparte, mi amigo Crisitian Pellegrini es el primer ayudante de dirección! A la misma vez, la versión de High School Musical para Argentina se está filmando codo a codo con esta producción. Esta versión está dirigida por Jorge Nisco y los personajes principales interpretados por Agustina Vera y Fernando Dente.

La fiesta de Eugenia (Eugenia’s party) to be played at the Rose Garden / La Fiesta de Eugenia sera proyectada en el Rosedal

On Wednesday March 9 at 9:30p.m., “La Fiesta de Eugenia”, a drama written and directed by Gonzalo Villanueva (where I was the Assistant Director) is going to be screened at the Rose Garden in the San Martin Park, Mendoza. The screening is part of the every-season cultural festival “Verano Vendimia” organized by the Mendoza Government which serves as a showcase to local artists in different areas such as painting; music; theatre and movies. 400 attendees per night are expected for the event that lasts over two months.

El miercoles 9 de Marzo a las 9:30p.m., “La Fiesta de Eugenia”, un drama escrito y dirigido por Gonzalo Villnueva (en el que fui la Asistente de Direccion) sera proyectado en el Rosedal del Parque General San Martin de Mendoza. El evento es parte del ciclo cultural anual “Verano Vendimia” organizado por el Gobierno de Mendoza que sirve de vidriera para artistas locales en diferentes ramas tales como la pintura, musica, teatro y cine. Se espera cerca de 400 expectadores cada noche en este evento que dura mas de dos meses.

La Fiesta de Eugenia (Eugenia’s Party) awarded by the Government of Mendoza to be filmed for the Vendimia Wine Festival 2004

Gonzalo Villanueva wrote and is going to direct this drama about an old woman who dreamt her entire life to be the Vendimia Queen (Award given to the most beautiful lady in the Vendimia Wine Festival in Mendoza, Argentina) so she decides to crash the Vendimia Festival party in order to make her dream come true. The Government of Mendoza has selected this short film’s script to be filmed specially for the 2004 Vendimia Wine Festival and I will be the Assistant Director.

Gonzalo Villanueva escribio y va a dirigir este drama sobre una viejita que soño toda su vida con ser la reina de la Vendimia, y un dia decide colarse a la fiesta para poder hacer su sueño realidad. El Gobierno de Mendoza ha seleccionado este guion de cortometraje par ser filmado especialmente para la Fiesta Nacional de la Vendimia 2004 y yo participare como Primer Asistente de Direccion.
