2ND ARGENTINE FILM FESTIVAL IN LONDON!

For all Londoners, don’t forget to check out the 2nd Argentine Film Festival, London (17th – 21st April 2013).This year’s selection programme brings out Argentine culture diversity. The festival opens with Argentine director Daniel Burman‘s romantic comedy “All In”. 10 features will be introduced by a short music film showcasing some of Argentina’s best new musical talent. There is also a new section, Nuevos Talentos, including 5 short films from Argentina’s young directors. Hope you enjoy it!

Para todos los londinenses, no se olviden de ver el 2 º Festival de Cine Argentino de Londres (del 17 al 21 de abril 2013). Este año el programa resalta la diversidad de la cultura argentina. El festival se abre con el director argentino Daniel Burman en su comedia romántica “La Suerte en tus manos”. 10 películas serán presentadas por un corto musical que muestra algunos de los mejores y nuevos talentos musicales de la Argentina. También hay una nueva sección de Nuevos Talentos, incluyendo 5 cortometrajes de jóvenes directores argentinos. Espero que lo disfruten!

Mendoza gets ready for Verónica

The shooting began for “The Passion of Veronica Videla“; the feature will be the directorial debut of my friend Cristian Pellegrini. The production is in the hands of “Pandito Films”, founded by Cristian and Andrea Puebla.

I studied film together with Cristian and Andrea in the Escuela Regional Cuyo de Cine y Video, and we shape an excellent team, so I am very pleased to see that the script that Cristian wrote as his thesis finally takes the screen.

The drama tells the story of Veronica, a transvestite from Mendoza who earns her living by telling the fortune. She has two passions: to study psychology at university, which is her greatest desire and, live in Mendoza, which suffers due to the existence of Article 80 of the Offences Code which prohibits transvestites walk freely across the street. Her life gets more complicated when she tries to go to college and administrative obstacles are imposed, also will raise the change of identity as a prerequisite to enter.

The movie will be filmed entirely in the province of Mendoza, Argentina.

Shooting in the Jungle! (First Mission 2009)

After four weeks we are finally half way of the shooting of “First Mission”, a drama produced by IDTV film and coproduced by broadcaster NCRV. Written by Barbara Jurgens and directed by Boris Paval Conen, the story takes place in the Iguazu Jungle, in Argentina and Paraguay. Dutch, English, Spanish and Guarani are the four languages spoken in the film, and I have the task of being the translator and dialogue coach. Anniek Pheifer plays the leading role, Tygo Gernandt and Mark Rietman complete the Dutch cast. Eugenia Lencinas, Ismael Santillan, Leonardo Ramirez, Héctor Bordoni, Victor Hugo Carrizo, Matías Desiderio, Cristina Murta and Javier Moreira (on his first role) are part of the local cast.

The majority of the film is being shot in MBORORE, an Indian reserve in the town of Puerto Iguazu, Argentina, where the feature film “The Mission” starring Robert De Niro, Jeremy Irons, Aidan Quinn and Liam Neeson was shot 23 years ago. Some of our extras also played on this film directed by Roland Joffe, who is now shooting his new film “There be dragons” in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where my sister, the actress Dolores Reynals plays Carmen Escrivá.

Después de cuatro semanas hemos llegado a la mitad del rodaje de “First Mission“, un drama producido por IDTV film y coproducido por la broadcaster NCRV. Escrito por Barbara Jurgens y dirigido por Boris Paval Conen, la historia tiene como locación la selva de Iguazú en Argentina y Paraguay. Mi función en la película es la de traductora y coach de dialogo debido a que se hablan cuatro idiomas a lo largo del filme: Holandés, Ingles, Español y Guaraní. El largometraje cuenta con las actuaciones de Anniek Pheifer en el papel protagónico, Tygo Gernandt y Mark Rietman completando el elenco Holandés. El elenco local cuenta con las actuaciones de Eugenia Lencinas, Ismael Santillan, Leonardo Ramirez, Héctor Bordoni, Victor Hugo Carrizo, Matías Desiderio, Cristina Murta y Javier Moreira en su primer papel.

La mayor parte de la película se está rodando en MBORORE, una reserva indígena en la ciudad de Puerto Iguazú, Argentina, donde 23 años atarás se filmo el aclamado largometraje “La Misión” protagonizado por Robert De Niro, Jeremy Irons, Aidan Quinn y Liam Neeson. Algunos de nuestros extras también participaron de este filme dirigido por Roland Joffe, quien actualmente se encuentra rodando “There be dragons” en Buenos Aires, Argentina, y en el cual mi hermana, la actriz Dolores Reynals interpreta a Carmen Escrivá.

Last day filming PACO in Buenos Aires

On Friday December 12Th we finished shooting “PACO” directed by Diego Rafecas in which I was part of the direction team along with Natalia Urruty, Cristian Pellegrini, Mariano Biasin and Yanina Mc Kerlie. The film was shot in the cities of San Luis and Buenos Aires for seven weeks and part of the team will fly to South Africa to film the last scenes. It will also count with interpretations performed by Charo Bogarín, who is part of the cast.

El Viernes 12 de Diciembre terminamos el rodaje del largometraje “PACO” dirigido por Diego Rafecas, en el que trabaje como parte del equipo de direccion junto a Natalia Urruty, Cristian Pellegrini, Mariano Biasin y Yanina Mc Kerlie. La pelicula se Filmo en las Ciudades de San Luis y Buenos Aires durante siete semanas y se terminaran de rodar en Sudáfrica las ultimas escenas del filme. Tambien contara con interpretaciones en toba de Charo Bogarín, quien forma parte del elenco.

On Monday, the 17th we begun the shooting of the feature film “PACO”, in which I am part of the direction team, in the city of Buenos Aires, which was filmed in San Luis for three weeks. Directed by Diego Rafecas and produced by Zazen Producciones S.A. and San Luis Cine, tells the story of a young man accused of demolishing a kitchen of cocaine with high-caliber explosive killing responsible people and innocent, for what the press will involve him in a war between drug-traffickers. The movie counts with the performances of Tomás Fonzi, Norma Aleandro, Esther Goris, Romina Ricci, Willy Lemos and Sofía Gala Castiglione among others.

 El lunes 17 comenzamos el rodaje del largometraje “PACO”, en el que formo parte del equipo de direccion, en la ciudad de Buenos Aires, el cual se estuvo filmando en la ciudad de San Luis durante tres semanas. Dirigido por Diego Rafecas y producido por Zazen Producciones S.A. y San Luis Cine, narra la historia de un joven acusado de volar una cocina de cocaina con explosivos de alto calibre matando responsables e inocentes, por lo que la prensa lo implicará en una guerra entre narcotraficantes. La pelicula cuenta con las actuaciones de Tomás Fonzi, Norma Aleandro, Esther Goris, Romina Ricci, Willy Lemos y Sofía Gala Castiglione entre otros.

Avant Premiere of HSM El Desafio Mexico in DF

High Schoo Musical El Desafio had its avant premiere night at the Auditorio Nacional in the City of Mexico. The event gathered thousands of fans in the street to see the rising stars Cristobal Orellana and Mariana Magana walk on the red carpet (watch a video).  Lumi Cavazos; Juan Manuel Bernal; Lisa Owen; Víctor Huggo Martin; Alvaro Guerrero and Carmen Beato -the adult cast- were also part of this special screening. A dozen photographers from different news agencies and magazines covered the event.  It was a success!

High Schoo Musical El Desafío tuvo su noche de avant premiere en el Auditorio Nacional de la Ciudad de Mexico. El evento reunió miles de fans en la calle para ver a las crecientes estrellas Cristobal Orellana y Mariana Magana caminar por la alfombra roja (vea un video). Lumi Cavazos; Juan Manuel Bernal; Lisa Owen; Víctor Huggo Martin; Alvaro Guerrero y Carmen Beato -el elenco adulto- también formaron parte de esta proyección especial. Una docena de fotógrafos de diferentes revistas y agencias de noticias cubrieron el evento. Fue todo un éxito!

End of shooting for La Luce nel Coure by Alberto Simone

We have finished shooting the drama “La luce nel Cuore” by Alberto Simone, italian director and founder of Dauphine Film Company. It was a very good experience to shoot with an international team and in a different language (Italian). There were great performances by David Coco, Lorenza Indovina and the young boy Renato Quattordio. Now the editing phase will be done in Italy, so we will have to wait until December to see the final result!

Terminamos de filmar el drama “La luce nel Cuore” de Alberto Simone, director italiano y fundador de Dauphine Film Company. Fue una gran experiencia filmar con un equipo de trabajo internacional y en otro idioma (Italiano). Hubo grandes interpretaciones de David Coco, Lorenza Indovina y el joven actor Renato Quattordio. Ahora la edición se llevara a cabo en Italia, asique tendremos que esperar hasta Diciembre para ver el resultado final!
