A short Film to close the year!

Yesterday was a long, hot day of shooting with my sister Dolores Reynals, who wrote and stars in this comedy short film, which I co-directed with Maria Marta Neme. Now I only need to take care of the editing, wish me luck!

Ayer fue un largo y caluroso día de rodaje junto a mi hermana Dolores Reynals, quien escribió y protagoniza este cortometraje de comedia, el cual codirigí junto a Maria Marta Neme. Ahora solo me queda hacerme cargo de la edición, deséenme suerte!

Today I have uploaded my showreel to the web. I hope you like it! It features images of the projects in which I have written and directed (Ulises, Despertares and La Muerte). I used Premiere Pro CS3 for editing the showreel and I am very happy with the result. The song is great (“Great DJ” by The Ting Tings).

“Ulises…” to be played at Theatre / “Ulises…” sera proyectado en el Cine

My short film “Ulises…” which was shot in June 2004 is going to be played at the prestigious Theatre Cine Universidad under the showcase tiltled “Retrospectiva Escuela de Cine” on Thursday October 27, 2005. This short film tells the story of an obsesive compulsive young man and counts with the interpretation of Ulises by Ivan Verderico from the acclaimed local theatre company “Mentitas” and the participation of Sonnia De Monte as Ernestina. The lenght of the short film is 23′.

Mi cortometraje “Ulises…” filmado en el mes de Junio de 2004 sera proyectado en el prestigioso Cine Universidad dentro del programa titulado “Retrospectiva Escuela de Cine” el dia Jueves 27 de Octubre de 2005. Este cortometraje cuenta la historia de un joven que sufre de un trastorno obsesivo compulsivo y cuenta con la interpretacion de Ivan Verderico, de la aclamada compañia de teatro local “Mentitas”, como Ulises y de la participacion de la Actriz Sonnia De Monte como Ernestina. La duracion del corto es de 23 min. aprox.

Me gradue con mi tesis “Ulises…”, ya soy directora de cine! / I got my degree with my thesis “Ulises…”, I am a filmmaker now!

After an intense eight days of filming, I presented Ulises…, short film which I wrote and directed, to the board of professors at the film school. After the presentation, the board of professors congratulated me for my work and signed the forms that certify that I am a professional filmmaker! We headed to my house and had a party with friends and family. I am so happy!

In two days I will fly to London, from where I will be travelling and shooting some videos. I will keep you posted!

Después de ocho intensos días de rodaje, presente Ulises…, cortometraje que escribí y dirigí, al jurado de profesores en la Escuela de Cine. Después de la presentación, los profesores me felicitaron por mi trabajo y firmaron los papeles que certifican que soy una realizadora de cine profecional! Y nos fuimos a mi casa para festejar con mis amigos y familia. Estoy tan contenta!

Despertares (aka Awakenings)

We have just finished filming in 16mm an experimental short film that I co-directed with Carolina Gimenez and in which we both also did the cinematography. It was shot in black and white and color, all in one black room and in one day. Hemos terminado de filmar en 16mm un cortometraje experimental que co-dirigí junto con Carolina Gimenez y en el cual las dos también nos encargamos de la dirección de fotografía. Fue filmado con película blanco y negro y película color, todo en un cuarto negro y en un solo día. Todo lo que usted siempre quizo saber sobre la Muerte pero nunca se atrevio a preguntar (aka Everything you always wanted to know about Death but were afraid to ask)

At last! we have finished shooting my second short film entitled “Everything you always wanted to know about Death but were afraid to ask”. This comedy is about a very particular situation in which the Death finds her/himself when the victim refuses to go. Por fin! Hemos terminado de filmar mi Segundo cortometraje titulado “Todo lo que usted siempre quiso saber sobre La Muerte pero nunca se atrevió a preguntar”. Esta comedia trata sobre una situación muy particular en la que La Muerte se encuentra cuando su víctima se niega a irse. Short Film “Robo de Identidad” aka ID theft (2000)

My first short film as a Writer/Director, “Robo de Identidad” was finalized a few days ago. The crew was composed by Andrea Puebla (Assistant Director) and Carolina Gimenez (Camera) among others. The length of the short film is 3′.

The story is about a man tha wakes up in a warehouse after losing his memory and it is convinced by criminals to be part of agang. Things change when he receives a mysterious phone call.

Hace unos dias, he finalizado mi primer corto como Guionista/Directora. El mismo se titula “Robo de Identidad” y conto con la ayuda de Andrea Puebla (Asistente de Direccion) y Carolina Gimenez (Camara) entre otros. La duracion del corto es de 3′.

La historia es sobre un hombre que despierta en un galpon tras perder la memoria y es convencido por unos criminales de ser parte de su banda. La situacion cambia cuando el protagonista recibe una llamada misteriosa.
